Consistent Club House Can Place

Not finished worse than fourth on his last three starts over course and distance and been unlucky in a few of those races.

Club House has been knocking at the door all winter and with a bit of luck he could win the 3.05 Lingfield.

Robert Mills’s gelding has finished in the first four on his last three starts over course and distance, never beaten more than 2.5 lengths.

Last time out he was hampered in the home straight and might have even won with a clear run. The problem with the horse is he needs a strong pace to aim at, somewhat of a rarity in mile races at Lingfield.

There doesn’t seem any obvious pace-setter in this afternoon’s field but if something does make the running I can see Club House finishing in the top-3 at worse.

Whilst there are 8 runners, he is a good each-way bet at 16/1 (BetVictor) with 1/5 odds for a top-3 finish.
