Cockle Town Boy is yet to win a race in 14 starts but if he repeats his last performance over course and distance he should go close in the 1.50 Wolverhampton.

Last month he finished third at the track but his race was compromised by a slow start from a wide draw. Thereafter he was playing catch-up and had to come very wide to make his run in the final 2f.

The 4-year-old clocked the fastest final closing sectional by 0.23s but he covered more ground then anything else in the race and ran so wide in the home straight he was unable to respond to those rallying on his inside.

Cockle Town Boy clocked an adjusted speed rating of 47, which is competitive in this grade and he should improve if getting a better trip.
