Club Tropicana

Tropicana Bay has been expensive to follow but ran fastest sectional on last all-weather start and wears a visor for first time.

It has been a long time between drinks for Tropicana Bay and she’s certainly not been free to follow. A beaten favourite in four of her seven starts many will have given up on her but not me.

Last time she raced over course and distance, she was slightly unlucky. Held up behind an even pace, she couldn’t make any in-roads as the winner made all.

Examining the sectionals, Tropicana Bay came home in 24.37s, the fastest in the race.

Roger Varian has an impressive 31% strike rate (19-61) with his three-year-olds at Wolverhampton and a first time visor could make the difference.
