Chester Tips: Caspian Prince
Stall 1 is the ideal draw for this front-runner and the pack might not catch him.
Caspian Prince has won a couple of times for this column and has excellent claims once again in the 3.15 Chester.
The 5-year-old could be a considered a one-dimensional runner but that is often all you need at Chester. He has blistering early pace and an excellent draw; on a turning track that is a big advantage over his rivals.
Last time out he ran a fine race to finish third. He went off fractionally too quick and ran out of petrol, as his finishing speed of 98.5% testifies.
There is a danger he gets hassled upfront again but only Ballista (stall 7) has the class to win a pace duel against Caspian Prince.
Sprints at Chester are often decided at the first turn and if Caspian Prince gets there first he should win at 9/2 (Bet365).
