World Hurdle Betting Guide

Big Buck’s dominated the staying hurdle division but his absence has blown the race wide open. Who will take his crown?

Oscar Whisky
Odds: 9/2 BetVictor
Season high Racing Post Rating: 170
All-time high RPR: 170
Verdict: People will question whether he stays but on his Cleeve Hurdle second you must assume he does. Has lost on his last three Festival visits.

Reve De Sivola
Odds: 6/1 Paddy Power
Season high RPR: 167
All-time high RPR: 167
Verdict: Apart from Big Bucks’ he’s beaten everything put in front of him this season. Has the best form in the book and not necessarily ground dependant; last two wins on heavy but has won on good.

Bog Warrior
Odds: 10/1 Stan James
Season high RPR: 164
All-time high RPR: 164
Verdict: In great form, won his last three hurdle starts. Best form has come on a soft surface.

Solwhit
Odds: 10/1 William Hill
Season high RPR: 157
All-time high RPR: 165
Verdict: On the comeback after a lengthy absence. Won his last start but well below his all-time high RPR. Trip an unknown, never raced beyond 2m4f.

Get Me Out Of Here
Odds: 9/1 Paddy Power
Season high RPR: 142
All-time high RPR: 159
Verdict: Another stepping into the unknown regards trip. Below his best this year and would need a big improvement on his lifetime best to win this.

Best of the rest: Peddlers Cross was a classy hurdler and after a failed attempt chasing he is the dark horse in the race. Smad Place finished third in the race last year and although he’s been below par this term, the better ground might bring about an improvement.
