Neptune Novices’ Hurdle Tips: Yanworth
Impressive course winner, unbeaten this season and has the best speed rating coming into the race.
Eleven line up for the Neptune but in reality, it is a two horse race. Both Yanworth and Yorkhill are unbeaten this season whereas everything else looks held on form lines between the two.
Just to confirm their superiority, between them they have the highest adjusted speed ratings in the race; Yanworth 138 and Yorkhill 135.
The question of which to pick, can be answered using some old fashioned form study.
Yanworth has valuable course form, he was an impressive winner at the track in January beating Shantou Village by 7 lengths whilst still on the bridle. Last year he also finished fourth in the Champion Bumper at the Festival.
Yorkhill lacks that crucial course experience and his win at Sandown was visually less impressive. Of the two Yanworth has to be the selection at 6/4 with Skybet refunding losing bets as a free bet up to £25.
