Martin Pipe Tip: Sire Du Berlais

Lightly raced hurdler who ran on strongly on his last start. Big field and soft ground could play to his strengths and connections warrant respect.

The way Sire Du Berlais has been finishing his races suggests he is crying out for a step in trip but a combination of soft ground and stiff track and a big field could see the leaders come back to him.

Last time out he finished strongly for a good second place behind Out Of The Loop at Fairyhouse. Having only his fourth start for Gordon Elliott there is bound to be improvement to come and that might be precipitated by the first time tongue-tie. An unexposed horse for these connections is one to keep onside.
