Considering he won his last start by 35 lengths, it seems a bit harsh that Mozoltov is 25/1 to win the JLT Novices’ Chase.
People will crab the form and say he only beat two horses, but one of them was stable companion Folsom Blue, who ran to a mark of 138 when fourth on his next start.
The last time Mozoltov tackled Grade 1 company he came up short, beaten 13 lengths by Trifolium but he seems to have improved since then and the step up in trip is also in his favour.
With only 3.75 lengths to find with Felix Yonger on their last meeting at Leopardstown he is better than a 25/1 (Boylesports) chance.
