The Arkle Trophy (2.05) has cut up rather badly with only six runners making it to post. The small field would generally put me off in the pursuit of value but there are two crucial elements that make it a viable betting race.

Firstly, Sprinter Sacre is miles ahead of his rivals on speed ratings. He was awesome in winning at Newbury in the Game Spirit Chase, slamming the smart French Opera by six lengths. He was awarded a Topspeed rating of 160, a mark 22lbs ahead of anything else achieved by this field; Cue Card earned a rating of 138 on his last start.
