Chelmsford Tips: Safira Menina
Showed promise on her debut and has the finishing kick to win a potentially slowly run race.
The 5.00 Chelmsford isn’t the most inspiring of races but I’m interested to see how Safira Menina fares on her handicap debut.
The handicapper has given her a chance off a mark of 60 especially if she returns to the form she showed on debut.
At Lingfield she was slowly into stride but after giving the field a 5-length head start she motored home to finish fifth, recording the second quickest sectional in the race.
Her problems in the stalls have reappeared since but with experience she should get better. Even if she does fluff the start again her three rivals are unlikely to go tearing off into the distance.
A step up in trip is in her favour and she has a turn of foot that can win a tactical affair at 3/1 (BetVictor).
