Chelmsford Tips: Clear Praise
Has run 21.9s and 22.1s closing sectionals at Lingfield and has the ability to win in this grade, over his optimal trip
Clear Praise has looked a winner in waiting for a while and might finally get rewarded in the 2.40 Chelmsford.
In his last two races he has run eye-catching closing sectionals after slow starts.
On 28 December he was given too much to do but closed in a rapid 21.9s to finish 3.75 lengths behind the winner. It was a similar story on 14 January when he came home in 22.1s, over a trip that is probably on the sharp side for him.
This afternoon everything looks in his favour. He is able to race in a class 5 handicap over his optimal trip of 6f and has a good draw in stall 2.
The one drawback is the inexperienced Tomas Harrigan on-board but if the horse gets a good start, he’s up to winning this at 6/1.
