Chelmsford: Royal Cygnet
Hampered at start and finish of race at Chester but only beaten 3.75 lengths. A stronger race on paper than this and form franked with second & third running well next time.
Royal Cygnet has shown promise in two starts to date and unburdened by a penalty she should run well in the 3.25 Chelmsford. Last time out she finished a close fifth in a better Novice race than this.
Hampered out of the gates she was still going close when rounding for home, when she found her path blocked again. Despite all this she clocked a solid sectional adjusted speed rating of 61 and was only beaten 3.75 lengths. The form has been franked by the second and third placed horses finishing 1-2 next time.
