Chelmsford: Rock Boy Grey
Has finished first and second in two starts over course and distance and both came with good speed ratings. Finished second on turf at Nottingham but these conditions suit even more.
Rock Boy Grey finishing a creditable second last time at Nottingham but he is a better horse on the all-weather, especially at Chelmsford. His course and distance record is 12 and both have come with large speed figures attached.
Back in June he finished second behind Atalanta’s Boy (winner in higher grade since) and was the fastest closer that day, in a race where the winner made all.
He is well drawn in stall 3, has a workable handicap mark, is in the correct grade and in good form. He should run well.
