Chelmsford: Lipsink

First start in the UK and first start for Robert Cowell but a two-time winner on the all-weather in France. Lightly raced and full of potential. Wins have been eye-catching and times good.

I’m not convinced by the top of the market for the 5.30 Chelmsford and there is nothing from their all-weather form that leaps off the page. The interesting contender is Lipsink. A new recruit for Robert Cowell, he might be able to hit the ground running.

His all-weather record is 191 and a mark of 96 could underestimate a 3-year-old only having his 8th start. His win at Deauville in August was comfortable and the time decent.

He looks a decent prospect with plenty of potential. If that fails to materialise then Rathbone can pick up the pieces but at the prices i’m chancing the French import.
