Catterick Tips: Lackaday
Showed plenty of early speed but tired in the final 100 yards over 6f. Down in trip and grade and handles cut in the ground.
Last time at the track Lackaday set an overly strong pace at 6f and this afternoon he should be suited by the drop in grade and drop in trip.
The 5-year-old has done all his winning at 6f but he’s got plenty of early pace, unfortunately he did too much in front and his finishing speed was 96% of his overall speed, slower than par.
At the time of writing the going is ‘soft’ but with further rain forecast I doubt it will dry out much. Good news for Lackaday who has won on soft and heavy in the past.
He’s not been with Noel Wilson long but this looks the perfect opportunity for him to open his account with new connections.
