Catterick: Instinction
One of three horses who races up the middle at York and did well to finish fifth under the circumstances; other two were well beaten. This looks much easier on paper.
Instinction takes a big drop in class after finishing fifth in a Listed event at York and despite a penalty for a win earlier in the season she has plenty in her favour.
At York she earned a sectional adjusted speed rating of 72 and that was despite racing in the centre of the track, whilst the bulk of the winners raced up the nearside. Instinction did well under the circumstance to finish so close, the horses she raced with ended up being well beaten.
Mystic Moonshadow shaped with promise at Thirsk and is the danger but Instinction has the better form in the book.
