Carlisle Tips: Tijori
Has been waiting for the right opportunity and was unlucky to finish second after running a rapid closing sectional last time out.
In my racing notes for Tijori I have written ‘can win off current mark, 2m at Chepstow ideal’ and although we haven’t got the track, the 7.45 Carlisle should provide a similar galloping test.
Last time out he was beaten a head over but was unlucky that day. He blew the start but then came home in the fastest sectional of the race, only to be out-battled at the finish.
The overall time and sectional time were both faster than the second division of the race later on the card. Tijori’s closing sectional was particularly impressive because they went a steadier early pace in the second division but still couldn’t match his finishing burst.
Tijori has won 6 times in 36 starts and is a big price at 9/2 (Bet365) to win again.
