Carlisle Tips: Anieres Boy

Carlisle Tips: Anieres Boy

Poor draw and a strong pace scuppered his chances at Thirsk. Still ran well above his mark and should improve for the drop in trip.

Anieres Boy is one of the least exposed runners in the 3.05 Carlisle and he should improve on his seasonal reappearance.

Drawn in stall 17 at Thirsk, Graham Gibbons used a lot of petrol to switch his mount to the far side and join the main body of the field. Unfortunately his bold move didn’t payoff because he then set an unsustainable gallop, with a finished speed of 96.8%. He might have got away with the switch or a strong pace but not both.

Under the circumstances, Anieres Boy did well to finish a close third and ran an adjusted speed rating of 72. He is up in grade this afternoon but has ability and looks very well treated off a mark of 59.
