Cape Banjo Tuned Up
Second in a strong maiden with a good adjusted speed rating. Ralph Beckett enjoys 25% strike rate in AW maidens.
There are several un-raced two-year-olds in the 5.10 Kempton but their ability has to be taken upon trust and the solid option is Cape Banjo.
He finished second in a strong maiden at Kempton last month and although Cachao let the form down last week, I suspect something went wrong with the horse.
Cape Banjo earned an adjusted speed rating of 75, which is usually enough to win an average maiden. He has a wide draw to contend with but that is factored into the price.
Ralph Beckett has an excellent 25% strike rate (34-137) in all-weather maidens and can improve his record with Cape Banjo.
