Brighton Tips: Valmina
Bumped into a hotpot at Bath last time out but has been running well without getting the rewards and this looks a weak class 5 handicap.
Valmina was a losing tip for this column 12 days ago but we have haven’t had to wait long for compensation.
Last time out at Bath he bumped into the progressive Sleep Walk, an extremely well handicapped Roger Charlton sprinter but there is nothing of that calibre lurking in today’s field.
As previously discussed, he’s been running better than the bare form. He got upset in the stalls a couple of starts back at Goodwood and even at Bath he was a shade unlucky when tight for room in the final furlong.
Racing off a mark of 65, he is 8lbs lower than his last win on turf and with Pearl Noir likely to set the race up for a closer he looks a cracking bet.
