Storm Lightning is a previous course and distance winner and returned to his favourite trip he should go close in the 2.20 Brighton.
Since his win he’s struggled to find his ideal conditions. He was well beaten in an amateur race and then hampered when moderately drawn at Chester. Last time out he was only beaten 1.25 lenghts over 6f at Brighton, despite racing in a class 4 handicap.
Dropped in trip and grade he will find things much more to his liking and is a big price at 5/1 (BetVictor) in a small field.
