Brighton Tips: Gone Viral

Brighton Tips: Gone Viral

Showed promise on his first start of the season in March. Rarely sighted since and probably held back for an autumn campaign.

George Baker has an excellent record at Brighton with his older horses. He has a 24% striker rate (8-34) and shows a healthy £40 level stakes profit.

He’s achieved this with canny placement and Gone Viral screams ‘plot’ in the 3.30 contest.

Shipped over from Ireland he ran a cracker on his seasonal debut. Finishing 6th in a class 4 handicap at Doncaster only beaten 2.5 lengths. He travelled notable strongly in rear that day and wasn’t beaten far off a mark of 80.

We’ve barely seen him since and two spins on the all-weather were nothing more than exercise in lowering his handicap.

Considering both his wins in Ireland came with cut in the ground it would make sense to keep him fresh for an autumn campaign where he is more likely to get conditions to suit.

A mark of 72 looks generous and he should run well at big odds.
