Come On Dave is best known for his exploits on the all-weather but he’s also won three times on turf and he’s down to his lowest mark since August 2014, when coincidentally he won on turf.

The majority of Come On Dave’s wins have come in single figure fields that he has been able to dominate with his early pace. He has a potential pace rival in the shape of Zipedeedodah but he’s been bossing weaker fields.

Come On Dave is 4/13 in class 5 handicaps and has been running well in a higher grade. He put up a noticeable speed figure behind Verne Castle at Lingfield in February and this looks a good opportunity.
