Bold Appeal At Beverley

Bold Appeal At Beverley

Won by 4-lengths last time despite setting an overly strong pace. Should win if he has recovered from that effort.

It was reported that Bold Appeal enjoyed the run of the race when he made all to win at Chepstow but the sectional timings suggest a different pace scenario was at play.

Bold Appeal’s speed for the final 3f was 96.8% of his average race speed and much slower than par, which means he paid for setting a strong early pace and was slowing down at the finish.

Considering the inefficient pace distribution it was to his credit that he won by 4 lengths and recorded a Topspeed rating of 71.

There is every chance he can run faster given a better judged ride and that should be enough to overcome the 6lbs penalty he carriers in the 4.05 Beverley.
