Bint Arcano Impresses On Clock
On her first UK start, Bint Arcano clocked a 22.2s closing sectional at Wolverhampton, the fifth fastest of the last 4,917 runners at the track.
Philadelphia dominates the market for the 8.15 Wolverhampton owing to the fact he comes from Roger Varian’s yard. However, he has to overcome a 133-day absence and there are more solid betting propositions in the contest.
Bint Arcano comes for a less heralded stable but she could be quite useful in time. Previously trained in Germany, she moved to Julie Camacho in the autumn and showed some ability on her first UK start last month.
From a poor draw she was forced to race in rear behind a steady gallop (108% finishing speed). As the leaders quickened she was left with an insurmountable deficit but motored home with a 22.2s sectional, the fifth fastest at Wolverhampton from the last 4917 runners.
That blistering sectional meant she earned an adjusted speed rating of 66, with the promise of more to come. At 10/3 (William Hill) she is the value in the race.
