Beverley Tips: Relight My Fire

Beverley Tips: Relight My Fire

David Allan misjudged the pace badly last time at Beverley and perhaps Rachel Richardson can do a better job from a favourable draw.

Judging the pace of a race correctly is a difficult skill but David Allan got it completely wrong on Relight My Fire last time out. Allan attempted to make all over 7.5f at Beverley but he went way too fast and a finishing speed of 90.4% is much slower than par for the track, indicative of a pace collapse.

Considering the energy Relight My Fire expended, he did well to cling on for third and earn an adjusted speed rating of 78.

Rachel Richardson takes over for the 4.55 contest and from a good draw in stall 2 I expect her to attempt similair tactics. She showed at York over the weekend she is a good judge of pace when winning on Flying Pursuit and she has a well handicapped horse under her.
