Beverley Tips: Pea Shooter
Twice a runner-up over course and distance and unlucky fourth two starts back when fastest closer despite troubled passage.
Pea Shooter continues to drop down the weights, is now 5lbs lower than his last winning mark and should capitalise on the handicappers generosity. Last time out he was beaten 6.25 lengths but he drops down in trip and grade to more favourable conditions.
Twice a runner-up in three starts at Beverley, he goes well at the track and has a decent draw in stall 5.
Two starts back he was an unlucky fourth, beaten two lengths at Ripon. Slowly into stride, he found his path blocked as he attempted to quicken from rear. Despite the troubled passage he was the fastest closer in the race.
