Not beaten far in class 4 handicap at Newcastle, when clocking fourth fastest closing sectional. He's not as good on turf but this race is much weaker and handicapper given him a chance off 50.
The 12.35 Beverley is not a good race but an opportunity for You’re Cool to win on grass for the first time in 25 starts. A regular winner on the all-weather, he’s simply not as good on turf but he’s never raced off a mark as low as 50 and this must be one of the weakest handicaps he’s contested.
Last time out he ran well in a class 4 handicap at Newcastle, he was only beaten 3.75 lengths and ran the fourth fastest closing sectional. That confirms his well being and he was only beaten 4 lengths at Thirsk when the going was probably softer than he’s like.
On his first and only visit to Beverley he finished fourth (beaten 3 lengths) off a mark of 68. He’s 18lbs lower and that can finally help him win.
