Beverley Tip: Eeh Bah Gum

Penalty unlikely to stop this unexposed sprinter from a favourable draw. Was the fastest closer at Redcar by 0.81s when winning in a good time for the grade.

Eeh Bah Gum is the standout horse in the 2.00 Beverley and he’s got plenty in his favour. The lightly raced three-year-old is only having his sixth start and Tim Easterby has found the key. Gelded over the winter, he moved for David O’Meara’s yard and the change of scenery has worked wonders.

Eeh Bah Gum ran well on his first start for tim Easterby, finishing fourth at Thirsk but tiring on his first start in 205-days over a trip that probably is on the limit of his stamina.

He followed up that performance with a demolition job at Redcar over 5f. Any easier winner, he earned a good adjusted speed rating of 58 and ran the fastest closing sectional by 0.81s. He is clearly better than this grade and will take plenty of stopping from a good draw.
