Bertiewhittle Benefits From Draw
The last two renewals of the Bronze Cup have been won by the highest drawn horse.
It has been a long time since Bertiewhittle was in the winner’s enclosure, four years to be precise but he’s worth chancing in case a draw bias appears.
The last two renewals of the Bronze Cup have been won by the highest drawn horse in the race and although the draw bias at Ayr changes like the wind (railed dolled out to negate last year’s bias), we must get involved at the prices.
Bertiewhittle struggles to win but he’s been running respectably this season and is finally down to a mark which he can be competitive off.
If they go very hard in this big field his 7f stamina will help and he was unlucky in the 2011 Silver Cup, when winning his side of the race but 7th overall because of the draw.
Hopefully, he is on the right side today and can make amends at a generous 20/1 (Bet365).
