Be Ambitious At Nottingham
Has run well this season, particularly at Ripon where he was the fastest closer. Can capitalise on a drop in grade.
Ambitious Icarus has run three solid races on turf this season and can strike now he is dropped in grade for the 3.00 Nottingham.
His last run at Hamilton can be ignored because he hasn’t got the stamina for 6f on soft ground but before that he ran an excellent race at Ripon.
A slow start meant he raced further back than ideal but he flew home, running the fastest 2f closing sectional in the race.
That kind of performance should make him competitive in an easier grade, especially over a course and distance where he has run well before.
