Bawina Back For More
Desperately unlucky in the Falmouth and been holding her own in Group 1 company.
Bawina finished a desperately unlucky fourth in the Falmouth Stakes and back over a mile at Newmarket she is looking for compensation in the Sun Chariot Stakes.
2015 QIPCO Falmouth Stakes Video
Held-up in rear behind a ludicrously steady gallop (117% finishing speed) she found her path up the rail blocked and then had to switch to the middle of the track to make her run.
She might never have caught Amazing Maria, who has a devastating turn of foot, but she was only beaten 1.25 lengths and actually ran the fastest closing sectional of the race.
Lately she’s been racing in French Group 1s and has not been beaten far. She looks up to this level and is slightly overpriced at 7/1 (BetVictor).
