Ran well last time out despite going off too fast in a better class of race. Expect a change of tactics this afternoon.
Time Medicean is 7lbs below his last winning turf mark and last time out at Windsor he advertised his well being.
Usually a hold up horse, he was sent to the front in a class 4 handicap and for a long way he showed up well before tiring in the last furlong.
His finishing speed was 97.3%, which shows how much he slowed in the last 2 furlongs. This is excusable because in a better class of race and unaccustomed to leading he would have struggled to sustain the strong gallop.
