Bath Tips: Spic’N’Span

Front-runner who often runs out of gas might last home on firm ground.

The official going at Bath is described as ‘firm’ and it should be a rattling fast surface with no rain or watering at the track.

Spic’N’Span is often considered a ‘short-runner’ but the quick ground might just see him home.

The 9-year-old is best on Southwell’s sharp 5f track but he has won at Bath before conveniently on firm ground.

I expect Steve Drowne will try make all again and although life might be difficult in a big field, most of the fancied runners are hold-up horses.

Spic’N’Span wasn’t beaten far at Ffos Las two starts back and given the conditions he might sneak a win at 16/1 (William Hill)
