Bath: Rumstar

Walked out the stalls on debut at Windsor and then had to weave through horses to challenge. Fastest closer of race by 0.51s and looks an unpenalised 'winner'.

Jonathan Portman doesn’t have many first time out 2-year-old winners but he perhaps should had with Rumstar. He walked out the stalls at Windsor and then had to wait to get a gap as he closed from rear.

The winner got the run of the race but Rumstar went very close, thanks to the fastest closing sectional of the race by 0.51s. The overall time was also reasonable, which suggests this was a good performance on debut.

In opposition we have Al Khazneh who was visually impressive but moderate on the clock and New Hope Bullet who probably did ok in a hot race. However, neither have the appear of Rumstar.

*Rule 4 deductions. Settled at 6/5
