Won over course and distance a fortnight ago, fastest closer off very strong pace. Races in same grade.
Racquet was a course and distance winner a fortnight ago and looks capable or repeating the trick in the 2.30 Ayr.
The race he won is peculiar because it was blown apart by a furious early gallop, with Racquet plodding on past tiring horses. To his credit he ran the fastest (least slow) closing sectional and earned an adjusted speed rating of 71.
He is up only 4lbs and racing in the same grade so should go well again. He was rated much higher in the past and has headroom in his current mark.
