Ayr Tip: Lomu

Revitalised by a move to Iain Jardine winning two from three starts on the all-weather. Equally effective on turf and has finished first and second in two starts over course and distance.

Lomu has been revitalised by the move to Iain Jardine, winning two from three and he can continue his revival in the 3.40 Ayr. Both his wins came at Wolverhampton but I was impressed by the way he overcome traffic problems to win, the sign of a horse ahead of his mark.

At Newcastle he could only finish fifth but it was a strong race for the grade and he wasn’t disgraced to lose by six lenghts. A return to turf shouldn’t pose any problems and his coruse and distance record is 12; therefore Ayr is a sensible place to start.

He should have pace to aim, is drawn amongst it in stall 4.
