Impressive winner at Newmarket where he ran the fastest closing sectional by 0.56s, quickening off a solid gallop. Is 6/22 in all starts.
Tarboosh carries a 5lbs penalty after winning a Conditions race at Newmarket last time out but that looks fair considering he beat three horses rated 100+. The manner of his victory was even more impressive. He tracked a solid gallop, was switched wide for room and put the race to bed in just a few strides.
His closing sectional was 0.56s faster than anything else in the race and he earned an adjusted speed rating of 91. Tarboosh has an excellent strike rate of 6/22 with most of his wins coming over the minimum trip. He is a sprinter to keep on side.
