Ascot Tips: Taajub
Unsuited by soft ground last time but running well and weighted to win.
Taajub looks ready to win off a mark of 84. Unfortunately he didn’t handle the ground when we tipped him last time at Ascot but it’s a lesson learned and he wasn’t beaten all that far anyway.
Currently the going is rated ‘good to soft’ which is an improvement on the ‘soft’ he faced previously and the forecast is for dry weather.
His second place behind Double Up on 11 July reads well considering he was drawn away from the pace and a class 3 handicap is within his sphere. He didn’t enjoy much luck last time at Sandown but there is more room at Ascot and it’s a course where he has gone well in the past.
