Art Dzeko In Fashion At Southwell
Never finished outside the top-3 over course and distance and the best horse in the race if recapturing his old form.
There has been an early market move for Art Dzeko and I am not surprised because on his best form he will trounce the opposition in the 1.30 Southwell.
Back in July, he finished a close third in a class 5 handicap over course and distance, recording a good time for the grade. The Racing Post gave him a rating of 71, which is 16lbs higher than the handicap ceiling of this afternoon’s contest.
The only concern is whether Art Dzeko can reproduce his best form. He’s obviously had problems, because his recent performances have been poor but Brian Baugh is capable of revitalising older horses.
If back to his best, and the market suggests he might be, he wins this easily at 4/1 (Boylesports).
