All-Weather 3yo Sprint Championship Tip: Haalick
Ran a sectional adjusted speed rating of 94 on his return from a 5-month layoff and should be more to come.
Haalick’s performance went unnoticed for a week because I couldn’t bring myself to watch the video of his win at Lingfield. I’d backed Jaadu at 40/1+ only to watch her get squeezed for room when trying to lay down a challenge.
She would have gone close but it might not have been enough to overhaul a decent performance from Haalick.
Making his return from a 5-month break, Roger Varian’s colt clocked the fastest closing sectional and earned an adjusted speed rating of 94.
He should improve for the run, is well drawn and with the yard enjoying another productive winter on the all-weather he is the horse to beat.
