Kings Palace is 9lbs clear on official ratings in the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle (2.40) but is only made second favourite in the market.
There is plenty to like about the horse. He’s won his last three starts, two at Cheltenham, and there is no worries over the trip or the ground.
Last time out he earned a Racing Post Rating of 154, which would have been good enough to win five of the last ten renewals of the Albert Bartlett. With so much in his favour, it is strange he’s 7/2 (William Hill).
