Drawn near the pacesetters and ran a fine race over course and distance 3 weeks ago despite fluffing the start.
With 20-runners declared for the 6.40 Thirsk there is likely to be a split in the pack and when that happens on the straight track you want to be drawn on the wings.
Manatee Bay is well berthed in stall four with plenty of pace drawn around him.
Last time out he blew the start but still finished within 1.75 lengths of the winner, despite the moderate pace (104.8% finishing speed) favouring front-runners.
When adjusting for sectionals, Manatee Bay comes out best by a length but that hasn’t been factored into his price.
