1000 Guineas Tips: Miss France
Showed an impressive turn of foot when winning at Newmarket in September and will relish the strong pace.
The one thing Miss France needs in her races is a strong pace and with 17 runners lining up for the 1000 Guineas (3.50 Newmarket) that is almost guaranteed.
Andre Fabre’s filly sprang to prominence when winning the Oh So Sharp states at Newmarket last September. She showed an impressive turn of foot, running the final 2f in 23.91s.

It was an impressive burst of acceleration because the leaders weren’t stopping. Runner-up Lightning Thunder got first run, enjoyed almost the perfect trip with a finishing speed of 99.6% but still couldn’t hold off Miss France.
I’m happy to ignore her last run at Maison-laffitte; she was too keen and the early pace was sluggish. The 1000 Guineas has always been her target and at 11/2 (Bet365) she is slightly overpriced.
