Wyndham Championship Tips: Scott Langley

An improving player who has three top-30s in his last four tournaments and might finally capitalise on one of his good starts.

Scott Langley burst onto the scene when he finished T16 at the 2010 US Open as an amateur. He turned pro in 2011 and 2013 was his first full season on the PGA Tour.

It has taken a while for the 25-year-old to learn his trade but he is steadily improving and is the type of player who could go well at the Wyndham Championship; a tournament that has been won by a first time winner on four occasions in the last six years.

Langley arrives in North Carolina with his game in good shape. He’s finished T54-T11-T26-T27-MC in his last five starts and has only missed two cuts since the beginning of May.

Last year Langley failed to make the weekend at Sedgefield CC but he was well inside the cut line until a wretched back nine on Friday.

Now he’s more accustomed to his surroundings, he could capitalise on his recent fast starts and go all the way at 100/1 (William Hill).
