Wyndham Championship Tips: Brandt Snedeker

Finding his form again after finishing in the top-15 at Firestone and Valhalla despite neither course playing to his strengths.

The USPGA marked the end of the automatic qualifying period for the United States’ Ryder Cup team. Three wildcards remain and players will be using these tournaments to stake their claim.

Brandt Snedeker missed a place owing to an injury-hit season but the 33-year-old is healthy and playing well again.

In his last five starts, he has finished T21-T58-T25-T12-T13. The last two of these were particularly impressive because Firestone and a rain softened Valhalla would have been plenty long enough for a modest hitter.

The Wyndham Championship has been a happy hunting ground for Snedeker in the past. He won the 2007 edition at Forest Oaks CC but also has a couple of top-10s at its new home Sedgefield Country Club.

Snedeker will be doing his utmost to impress Tom Watson and is a solid each-way bet at 14/1 (William Hill).
