WNB Classic Tips: Aaron Goldberg

Finished T4 in 2012 and a 3-time winner on the Canadian Tour. Capable of making the required number of birdies to win.

During the past six months, the golfing world (mainly BettingBias) has been salivating over the performances of Graham DeLaet.

We first got a glimpse of his potential when he won the 2009 Tour of Canada Order of Merit. The following year his exploits were eclipsed by Aaron Goldberg, who topped the standings and set a new single season money record.

The 28-year-old has been relatively quiet since, plying his trade on the Web.com Tour but he is a talent waiting to breakthrough.

The highlight of Goldberg’s season so far is a T5 finish at the Louisiana Open and he has all attributes to do well in Texas this week.

He is an excellent putter (ranked 4th on tour), makes birdies for fun (ranked 8th), and most importantly has played well at Midland CC, finishing T4 in 2012.

Largely ignored by the bookmakers I’m predicting a big week for Goldberg and at 125/1 (William Hill) he is an excellent each-way bet with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
