WGC Match Play Tip: Alex Noren
Made the quarter-finals last year eventually losing to Dustin Johnson. Currently ranked fourth on tour for adjusted scoring average and has finished no worse than T36 on the PGA Tour in 2018.
Alex Noren made it to the quarter-finals last year losing to eventual winner Dustin Johnson and he’s got the tools to do well again. The world number 17 has done well on the PGA tour this year, he is yet to miss a cut in six starts with finishes of 2-21-16-3-14-36.
Currently ranked fourth on tour in adjusted scoring average, his opponents are going to have to make some birdies to beat him but even that might not be enough. The Swede is ranked inside the top-20 on tour for approaches, putting and birdies.
With 10 career wins under his belt it is slightly surprising he isn’t higher in the betting than 40/1.
