On Form Garcia Hard To Oppose

Won two of his last three starts and with the putter behaving, he carries a considerable threat.

With two wins in his last three tournaments, Sergio Garcia arrives in Arizona on top form.

The Spaniard is back to his very best and now has a putting stroke he can trust. Before the Abu Dhabi Championship, we highlighted his dramatic improvement with the flat stick. He ranked eighth for strokes gained putting last year and it is now one of the strengths of his game.

The 34-year-old doesn’t have a particularly brilliant record in the WGC Match Play but he did finish fourth at Dove Mountain in 2010 and he couldn’t arrive in better form.

Considering his 16-8-4 record in the Ryder Cup, Garcia deserves the utmost respect in match play events and at 25/1 (Betfred) I expect him to go deep into the tournament.
