WGC HSBC Champions Tip: Daniel Berger

WGC HSBC Champions Tip: Daniel Berger

Unremarkable T51 at the CIMB Classic but finished T64 last year before igniting the following week at the HSBC Champions.

Daniel Berger finished an ordinary T51 at the CIMB Classic last week but it was a useful acclimatisation exercise and he might have needed to work off some rust having not played since the Tour Championship.

Last season he finished T64 in Malaysia before recording a T11 at the HSBC Champions so we shouldn’t rule out that level of improvement again. Berger only dropped shots on two holes across the weekend last year unfortunately they were a double and triple bogey. If he’d just dropped two shots instead of five he’d have cracked the top-5.

The 23-year-old has very few weakness to his game and with a PGA Tour title under his belt he should be looking to compete for WGCs and majors this season. At 80/1 (BetVictor) he is a cracking each-way bet.
